Architectural Traces
Architectural Traces is a book about the work of a Dalmatian architect. The cover has a sloping side that resembles a roof with typical Roman tiles when seen from a distance. Seen from close, the pattern is revealed as images from an actual magnetic resonance scan of the architect's spine. The optical illusion points to the hidden and painful reality behind admired buildings. The book measures 270 mm by 270 mm by 35 mm and is printed on offset paper with hard stitched binding and no outer wrapper. The cover reaches an open oblique position during use.
Architectural Traces Publication by Stjepko Rosin was highlighted as an outstanding illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards.
